We are now seeking  dedicated and motivated individuals to fill the position of Fund Specialist of the Hong Kong Branch.

Outline of the Position:

  • Focus on developing the Funds (mutual funds and hedge funds) business line by increasing revenues, product penetration and AUM.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to select best in class funds and develop relevant tailored investment solutions for UHNWIs.
  • To manage the Funds business line, overseeing all marketing and administrative matters.
  • To work closely with Head office and participate in the fund committee ensuring that Asia's interests is represented as well.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate execution in compliance with procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure both Singapore and HK solutions are in line with Head office.

Key Responsibilities:

Advisory

  • Responsible for the Hong Kong funds list and funds investment ideas generated.
  • Provide advisory services across all mutual funds and hedge fund advisory mandates to Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors and UHNWIs.
  • Monitor client's holdings and keep Relationship Managers/Investment Advisors/UHNWIs informed on fund industry news/market movements.

Sales and Marketing

  • Produce regular market updates, publications and presentations on funds.
  • Focus on delivering the appropriate products, customized content and user friendly tools for marketing purposes in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Conduct relevant trainings with RMs/IAs to promote and support the distribution of investment funds.

Product Development (To work closely with Head office)

  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative due diligence to onboard mutual funds catered for the Asian clientele.
  • Manage the life cycle and product development process of fund related products (FMPs, Leveraged Deposit Programs, Launching of In-house funds etc).
  • Review/monitor product risk ratings, product lending values, trailer fees and distribution.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Banking and Finance or equivalent. Post grad qualification and CFA would be a plus.
  • Between 5 to 10  years of experience in fund (mutual fund and hedge fund) advisory and fund due diligence, preferably in the wealth management sector facing Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors and UHNWIs.
  • Good knowledge in compliance and regulations of the fund management industry.
  • A team player equipped with excellent presentation & communication skills.
  • Able to communicate fluently in English.  Mandarin and other languages or dialects is a plus.
  • Well versed in Bloomberg, Morningstar or Lipper
