CA Global is looking for a Head of Finance and Administration based in Lisbon, Portugal. The role oversees a small finance team locally as well as a number of advisers across 4 continents. (applications with ACCA qualification or equivalent only)

The Lisbon office serves the global consultancy with centralised finance and administration as well as providing back office support, handling commercial activities for the whole group internationally. Whilst the team is based in Lisbon the work is not locally orientated; the office provides services internationally.

Reporting to the President of the company, the Head of Finance is responsible for operational efficiencies including supervising, appraising, training and development of staff and advisers, developing systems and procedures as the company executes its ambitious global growth plan. The role also manages all aspects of finance including cash-flow, payments, payroll and contractual matters, ensuring timely sales invoicing, cost effective procurement, credit control, preparation of management and statutory accounts world-wide. Ongoing forecasting throughout the year and preparation of the annual budgets are other key responsibilities, as well as managing the annual consolidated audit and being the first line of contact to our London-based audit firm.

Sixty percent of the position is commercial and the remainder financial. Therefore it would be expected that the incoming candidate has sound financial (from a financial manager or senior controlling position) and also operational/ company management backgrounds in professional services. Due to the variety of the financial and administrative activities, the complexity and compliance dealing with the various geographical locations this position would suit someone with relevant experience in the international SME sector.

Fluency in English is a must for this role, with our languages a bonus - as is experience of working in an Anglo Saxon international environment. The nature of the role requires someone who is a good communicator and a superb time manager as well as a good coordinator who is able to deal with ad–hoc matters at various levels. Prioritising and being able to solve problems efficiently and quickly is a must in this position. The successful candidate will be working in a highly demanding and high pressure environment where flexibility is required.
