In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact substantially with colleagues across Asia as well as London. Members of the International Product team are based in London, Japan, and Melbourne in addition to Singapore.


The team is privileged in its position and the contact it has with clients, distributors, sales, marketing, investments, legal, compliance and operations and performs a key role in developing and coordinating all product development and range management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering new investment strategies/Product Solutions for LMGD's cross-border and Singapore fund platforms.
  • Identifying and acting on information to improve the attractiveness and efficiency of the product offer via amendment, merger or rationalisation.
  • Ensuring implementation of product-related initiatives is timely and well executed across the business.
  • Keeping abreast of commercial and regulatory developments and interpreting them into meaningful and compelling proposals.
  • Contributing to the growth and evolvement of the business through the coordination of regional strategic business initiatives.
  • Coordinate various Product and business initiatives to drive the growth of the business.
  • Keep abreast of product trends in the investment industry through regular market and competitor analysis and identify opportunities for Product solutions.
  • Partner with the LM business including sales, affiliates and marketing teams to identify product development opportunities with new and existing efforts.
  • Ownership and responsibility for the development of new products and initiatives, including but not limited to, fund creation, fund launches, repositions and strategic changes.
  • Support the product lifecycle process. Includes communication of new product launches and changes to business stakeholders, as well as coordination with the Legal Administration team with regards to prospectus updates and fund registration across Asia markets.
  • Respond to product related enquiries from various areas of the business.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Around 5-10 years of experience in one or more aspects of product development and mutual fund range management, including managing multiple activities simultaneously (e.g. product development, client solution orientated, product-based project management and business coordination).
  • Technical knowledge of pooled fund structures including UCITs and non-UCITS across a range of domiciles, with knowledge of Singapore and Ireland most relevant.
  • An understanding of regulations governing mutual funds offering in Asia jurisdictions, particularly of Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Korea.
  • An understanding of investment management, regulatory, tax and operational requirements relating to product design and commercial success.
  • Experience dealing with Institutional Sales/Distribution teams and investment teams to solve client solutions from a product perspective.
  • An understanding of the end-to end product lifecycle process.
  • Broad based knowledge of entire asset class spectrum desirable, including equities, fixed income, alternatives and ETFs.
  • Knowledge of use of Morningstar and Bloomberg is helpful.
  • Degree educated, industry/ professional qualifications helpful e.g. CMFAS, CFA etc.
