We are looking for a Risk Officer to join the Risk Management team in Singapore. This is an opportunity for you to have a broad view on all areas of risk, including, but not limited to, market, credit, operational and liquidity risks. The Risk Officer will support the Head of Risk Management in ensuring that Nordea's risk management frameworks, and any additional local regulatory requirements, are effectively implemented, and that there is proper management and controls of such risks.


Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assisting the Head of Risk Management in monitoring of all areas of risks
  • Assist in preparation of periodic risk reporting for management
  • Participating in projects and QRAs
  • Collaboration with all key stakeholders in the Branch as well as in the Head Office
  • Reviewing, updating and enhancing local risk management processes and procedures
  • Organizing periodic risk meetings and managing agenda, materials, minutes and scheduling for the various risk committees
  • Following-up with stakeholders and reviewing the mitigating actions taken with respect to identified risks
  • Providing risk related advice to the Branch in ensuring that controls implemented are adequate

Your profile and background:

  • Sound understanding of risk management concepts, measures and regulatory frameworks
  • At least three to five years of experience in risk management in a bank or financial institution
  • You have an analytical and structured approach in management of risks, including risk reporting, risk analysis and control designs.
  • You have the ability to create and follow through on strategy for implementing risk frameworks
  • You enjoy challenges and are able to work independently and ready to contribute to a balanced work within the team
  • The job requires some flexibility and ability to structure and prioritise tasks as well as keeping in view the working processes
  • You dare to speak your mind and possess the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders and colleagues
  • You have excellent technical skills in Microsoft excel, as well as the ability to quickly learn new risk management tools and concepts
  • You possess verbal and written communicative skills in English, and ability to get to the point fast
  • The ideal candidate holds at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (relevant certification such as CFA, FRM, PRM or related qualifications will be an advantage)
